Context

Notarich is a café. Before this system, cashier transactions were added up by hand or with a calculator, and daily and monthly sales recaps were put together manually.

The system is built for the owner and the cashier. Customers can also order and make bookings directly in the system.

ChallengeOrders and sales depended on handwritten notes

Orders reached the kitchen verbally or on paper, so they were easy to mix up. Menu and price changes were not clearly recorded either.

Modules builtFour main parts we built

01

POS and sales reports

Cashier transactions are recorded in the system, and daily and monthly sales recaps are produced from that data.

02

Menu and prices

The owner adds menu items and changes prices directly in the system.

03

Table orders

Each order is recorded with its table number before it goes to the kitchen.

04

Customer ordering and booking

Customers can order from the menu and make bookings directly in the system.

Technical decisions

  • Sample data for the demo. Every screen on this page uses fictitious data.

Results

  • In use at the café to this day.
  • Every sale recorded. All cashier transactions are stored in the system.
  • Kitchen orders on record. Each order is recorded with its table, so the kitchen no longer relies on spoken messages or paper slips.
  • Automatic sales recaps. Daily and monthly sales recaps are produced by the system.
  • Menu updates in-house. The owner updates the menu and prices directly in the system.
